Electrochemical detector with a 20 nl volume for micro-columns liquid chromatography

Summary A flow-through two electrode wall-jet cell with a platinum measuring electrode and a cell volume of 20 nl has been designed and evaluated. It has been used to detect phenols by reversed phase liquid chromatography using short micro bore columns. The linear dynamic range between the measured current and the concentration is greater than 10³ (1.5×10^–7–5×10^–4 mol/l) and the minimum analyzable amount was found to be 10 pg for pyrocatechol. A negligible broadening in the detector permits the use of micro columns down to 0.5 mm internal diameter, packed with 5 m particles, without any substantial distortion of eluted zones.Presented at the 14th International Symposium on Chromatography London, September, 1982     

Dehydrogenative coupling of phenanthroline under hydrothermal conditions: crystal structure of a novel layered vanadate complex constructed of 4,8,10-net sheets: [(2,2'-biphen)Co]V3O8.5

2,2'-Biphenanthroline (2,2'-biphen) formed from 1,10-phenanthroline when a new two-dimensional layered vanadium oxide metal coordination complex, [(2,2'-biphen)Co]V3O8.5, which contains novel 4,8,10-net sheets, was hydrothermally synthesized.     

Ir（Ⅳ）—KBrO3—DBS—偶氮氯膦催化分光光度法测定微量铱的研究

ＫＢｒＯ３－ＤＢＳ偶氮氯膦在０．８ｍｌ．Ｌ＾－１的Ｈ２ＳＯ４介质中长时间加热亦无明显褪色现象，但在有微量铱存在时，褪色反应在３ｍｉｎ内完成，且与Ｉｒ（Ⅳ）的浓度有良好的线性关系，据此建立了微量铱的催化褪色分光光度分析法，其检出限为０．０１μｇ．１０ｍＬ＾－１铱的含量在０．０１－０．２０μｇ．１０ｍＬ＾－１范围内符合比尔定律。     

多相催化反应原位红外系统及其应用

设计和建立了一套能耐高温的用于多相催化反应研究的原位红外系统，反应温度从室温到１１５０Ｋ，系统真空为１．０＊１０＾５－１．０－１０＾－４Ｐａ，红外光谱检测范围为４８００－２００ｃｍ＾－１。此系统扩展了原仪器的功能，提高了仪器利用率和效率。     

与时俱进，不断开创物理化学课程建设新局面

As a necessary basic theory course for undergraduates majoring in chemistry, materials, pharmacy, chemical engineering, and biology, physical chemistry plays an important role in cultivating talents to meet the needs of social and economic development. Over the years, the teaching team of physical chemistry of East China University of Science and Technology has carried out the curriculum reform and innovation persistently based on "Team building as the foundation, resource building as the root, mode innovation as the soul, ability training as the origin". This paper will summarize our thinking and experience in striving for the first-class course from the aspects of first-class team construction, first-class resource construction, teaching connotation innovation, teaching mode exploration, and extract the experience that can be used as reference by teaching peers.     

REDUCING NONSELECTIVE PROTEIN ADSORPTION AND CELL ADHESION ON POLYACRYLONITRILE FILMS BY COPOLYMERIZATION OF ACRYLONITRILE WITH α-ALLYL GLUCOSIDE

In this work, the surface properties of novel sugar-containing polymers, α-allyl glucoside (AG)/acrylonitrile (AN)copolymers, were studied by contact angle, protein adsorption and cell adhesion measurements. It was found that the contactangle of the copolymer films decreased from 68° to 30° with the increase of AG content in the copolymer. The adsorptionamount of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and the adhesive macrophage onto the film surface also decreased significantly withincreasing α-allyl glucoside content from 0 to 42 wt% in the copolymer. These preliminary results reveal that both thehydrophilicity and the biocompatibility of polyacrylonitrile-based membranes could be improved by copolymerizing acrylonitrile with vinyl carbohydrates.     

采用Seemann－Bohlin准聚焦X射线衍射仪测量薄膜厚度的误差理论分析

本文从理论上分析了衍射强度比偏差Δ（Ｉ／Ｉ∞）和衍射峰位偏差Δ２θ对Ｓｅｅｍａｎｎ－Ｂｏｈｌｉｎ准聚焦Ｘ射线衍射仪测量表面单层薄膜厚度误差的影响。分析结果表明，降低Δ（Ｉ／Ｉ∞）可提高膜厚的测量精度，在Δ（Ｉ／Ｉ∞）－定的情况下，按μρｔ［Ｓｉｎ（－１）γ＋Ｓｉｎ（－１）（２θ－γ）］＝１选择靶辐射和衍射晶面可使由Δ（Ｉ／Ｉ∞）导致的膜厚测量误差具有极小值；选择高角度衍射线有助于减小试样离焦引起的衍射峰位偏差，亦可降低因衍射角测量偏差导致的膜厚测量误差，当衍射线处于薄膜的法向２θ＝γ＋π／２时，角度项误差（Δｔ／ｔ）（２θ）完全消除。     

Photorefractivity of hyperbranched polyisophthalate endcapped with pendant carbazolyl and azobenzene groups

A novel hyperbranched polyisophthalate containing pendant carbazolyl and azobenzene groups at the terminals was synthesized, and its photorefractivity has also been evaluated by the effective electro-optic (EO) coefficient, two-beam couple (TBC) coefficient, diffraction efficiency and photorefractive (PR) response time. This PR polymer has a low glass transition temperature of 21 °C without any extra plasticizer added, which provides a necessary free volume for EO chromophore reorientation during the recording process at room temperature. The obtained PR film exhibited an effective EO coefficient of 30 pm V⁻¹, a TBC coefficient of 59 cm⁻¹, a diffraction efficiency of 17%, and a modulation index of 1.67 × 10⁻³ at the wavelength of 632.8 nm with an applied electric field of 80 V μm⁻¹ at room temperature. The TBC coefficient was found to be beam-intensity dependent, compared with what is found in inorganic crystals. Moreover, a fast PR response time of 10 ms was deduced at an erasing beam intensity of 1.0 W cm⁻².
